Project Power 1.6.0

The American Diabetes Association (ADA) is dedicated to combatting the diabetes epidemic and enhancing the quality of life for individuals with diabetes. In collaboration with CVS Health, the ADA presents Project Power, an initiative designed to assist both adults and youth in recognizing and minimizing their risk of developing diabetes, as well as managing the disease.

Delivered in-person or virtually through HabitNu, Project Power is a groundbreaking program offering nationwide diabetes awareness, risk reduction education, and support services for individuals with diabetes or prediabetes.

The Project Power program emphasizes healthy eating habits, increased physical activity, and the importance of familial and peer support. Participants engage in weight reduction within an interactive setting that promotes positive lifestyle changes, including stress management. Health coaches guide small groups of participants towards breaking old habits, establishing new ones, setting achievable goals, and maintaining motivation.

Project Power participants have access to a range of interactive digital tools such as the Project Power app. This app enables users to track their progress, facilitate goal achievement, and sustain motivation. Its features include a user-friendly food diary, weight and activity tracking capabilities, a secure discussion forum, educational videos, communication with coaches, and automated alerts.

Project Power aims to instill healthy living habits in individuals dealing with prediabetes and type 2 diabetes, promoting long-lasting well-being.
